Satipatthana 60: Cittānupassanā (Observation of mind) 마음관찰 14: Five spiritual faculties: 지혜 paññā 2
Insight (Paññindriya), which is wisdom, is one of the beautiful mental factors (Sobana Cetasika) as the faculty of insight. This can be explained in three steps.
The first is to know the three characteristics, impermanent, suffering, and non-self, and when the insight of the second step is obtained, the characteristics of these three dharmas are examined in more detail.
The third and final stage of wisdom is not the intellectual realm, but the insight that comes to know through direct Vipassana meditation and refers to the wisdom of investigation or the wisdom that is understood as five aggregates (5 Khanda: 오온, 五蘊).
When the wisdom of vipassana is developed, if one does not gain insight into the knowledge of cause and effect but observes only the arising and passing away of sankhara as vipassana, the attachment of 'I' still arises. Therefore, insight to understand the condition correctly is important.
Another word for wisdom is “no stupidity” (amoha) or “no ignorance” (āvijjā). Through the gradual maturation of wisdom, the wisdom of Vipassana must gradually increase, so that the wisdom of the Path and Fruition of Supramundane (Lokuttara) can be born.
To be continued…
May you develop your Wisdom continuously!
May you achieve the Samma-Diṭṭhi (Right View) through Satipatthāna (vipassana meditation)!
May all practice well and reach to Magga (道, the path of enlightenment) and Phala (果, the fruit of enlightenment)!
